Lailuma Nasiri

Lailuma Nasiri is an advocate for gender justice, women's rights, and human rights in Afghanistan. With more than 20 years of dedicated experience, she has worked tirelessly to empower women and girls, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected. Throughout her career, she has held various roles within civil society, demonstrating leadership and commitment to social change. She has served as co-chair of the Preventing Violent Extremism working group and led the women, peace, and security working group, advocating for policies that promote peace and equality. Ms. Nasiri has actively participated in numerous conferences and platforms, speaking out for Afghan women and girls at both national and international levels. Her efforts aim to foster a more inclusive and just society, addressing key issues such as gender-based violence, education, and political participation. Her work continues to inspire positive change and increased awareness about the needs and rights of Afghan women.
